Alone Together: A COVID Concert

In this concert, I will be exploring how the pandemic has forced me to be alone with my thoughts, with my physical space, with my feelings. In the context of solo flute music, I strive to combine old and new music to ultimately answer the question, "Can we be alone, together?"

About the Event

INSPIRATION - CONNECTION … two things we have all craved since the COVID-19 pandemic began. In this concert, I will be exploring how the pandemic has forced me (and most people) to be alone with my thoughts, with my physical space, with my feelings. So many artists have used technology to continue making music together and create community in these dark times, which is wonderful of course, but what if we allowed ourselves to sit in our alone-ness, in our feelings? What might we discover about ourselves that can inspire us to find new and meaningful ways to connect with others? In the context of solo flute music, I strive to combine old and new music, to communicate feelings to the audience to reflect on, and to ultimately answer the question: “Can we be alone, together?”.
